14 Division CPLC Community Safety Scholarship
The 14-Division CPLC Community Safety Scholarship will award up to $4,000 to deserving young people who are making their community a safer place.
To be eligible, you must:
- Be entering your first year of post-secondary education or training in fall 2013
- Live and/or go to school within the boundaries of the Toronto Police Services' 14 Division (from Dufferin/
Roncesvalles, east to Spadina, Lake Ontario north to the North-CP Railway line/Dupont – see www.torontopolice.on.ca/d14/neighbourhoods.php) - Be actively improving community safety within 14 Division
What makes this scholarship unique is that it:
- Recognizes community and civic engagement
- Promotes safer communities and, through that, a better Toronto
- Supports any form of credible post-secondary education or training
- Provides opportunities for second year matching scholarships at Ryerson University, University of Toronto, York University, OCAD University, Humber College, Seneca College and George Brown College
- Includes an employment program that connects applicants to meaningful summer employment opportunities
